Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Capital Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.13% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 3.14% or 1.78 points to trade at 58.54 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) added 2.09% or 3.70 points to end at 179.35 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 1.11% or 3.3 points to 301.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 2.73% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.71 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 1.35% or 2.2 points to end at 160.9 and Aker ASA (OL:AKER) shed 0.91% or 6.0 points to 656.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 110 to 75 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.14% or 0.78 to $69.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.93% or 0.71 to hit $77.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1210.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.01% to 9.7596, while USD/NOK fell 0.00% to 8.3439.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 94.58.
