Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Auto & components and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 3.20% or 1.29 points to trade at 41.65 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 2.42% or 3.2 points to end at 140.2 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 1.49% or 2.30 points to 157.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 4.27% or 0.73 points to trade at 16.35 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 2.38% or 5.5 points to end at 226.0 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 1.63% or 0.02 points to 0.94.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 70 and 38 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.18% or 0.09 to $51.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.23% or 0.13 to hit $56.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.12 to trade at $1290.68 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.03% to 9.3881, while USD/NOK fell 0.37% to 7.9226.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 92.88.
