Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Oil & Gas and Distributors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were M2M Group (CS:M2M), which rose 6.00% or 12.00 points to trade at 212.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Cosumar (CS:CSMR) added 3.71% or 6 points to end at 180 and Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) was up 2.29% or 0.43 points to 19.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alliances (CS:ADI), which fell 9.98% or 6 points to trade at 53 at the close. Taslif (CS:TSF1) declined 5.98% or 2.18 points to end at 34.24 and Label Vie (CS:LBV) was down 5.97% or 76 points to 1195.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Taslif (CS:TSF1) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.98% or 2.18 to 34.24.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.53% or 0.80 to $53.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.95% or 0.55 to hit $58.70 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1154.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.05% to 10.7970, while USD/MAD fell 0.06% to 9.8165.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.83.
