Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Construction & Building Materials and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BCP (CS:BCP), which rose 2.88% or 7.85 points to trade at 280.00 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 2.60% or 1.07 points to end at 42.20 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) was up 2.34% or 3.40 points to 148.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1), which lost 5.84% or 165 points to trade at 2660 in late trade. LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM) declined 3.55% or 74 points to end at 2008 and Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) shed 2.99% or 1.75 points to 56.85.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 11 and 13 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.08% or 0.51 to $47.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.71% or 0.35 to hit $49.82 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.06% or 13.63 to trade at $1296.33 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.06% to 10.9590, while USD/MAD fell 0.08% to 9.7236.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 96.55.
