Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Holding Companies and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS:SNP), which rose 10.00% or 24.10 points to trade at 265.20 at the close. Involys (CS:INV) added 5.74% or 5.80 points to end at 106.80 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) was up 3.88% or 4.55 points to 121.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which lost 6.12% or 1.50 points to trade at 23.00 in late trade. Taslif (CS:TSF1) declined 6.00% or 1.78 points to end at 27.89 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) shed 4.34% or 68 points to 1500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 21 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.33% or 0.70 to $53.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.85% or 0.47 to hit $55.70 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.26% or 3.15 to trade at $1212.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.36% to 10.7240, while USD/MAD fell 0.10% to 9.9891.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 100.11.
