Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Holding Companies and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.95% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which rose 5.99% or 9.10 points to trade at 161.10 at the close. Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) added 2.99% or 81 points to end at 2791 and Snep (CS:SNP) was up 2.82% or 18.00 points to 656.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SMI (CS:SMI), which lost 5.98% or 174 points to trade at 2736 in late trade. Sonasid (CS:SOND) declined 4.98% or 27 points to end at 513 and Eqdom (CS:EQDM) shed 4.82% or 53 points to 1047.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 28 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.11% or 0.78 to $71.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.30% or 0.97 to hit $75.42 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.20 to trade at $1242.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 11.0580, while USD/MAD fell 0.01% to 9.4753.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 94.57.
