Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Mining and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.62% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Micro Data SA (CS:MIC), which rose 4.24% or 11.40 points to trade at 280.00 at the close. Auto Hall (CS:AUTO) added 4.14% or 3.65 points to end at 91.80 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) was up 3.51% or 5.10 points to 150.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT), which lost 5.96% or 95 points to trade at 1500 in late trade. Atlanta (CS:ATL) declined 5.54% or 3.96 points to end at 67.50 and Managem (CS:MNG) shed 4.45% or 55 points to 1180.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.48% or 0.32 to $67.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.01% or 0.73 to hit $72.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1227.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.08% to 11.0390, while USD/MAD rose 0.09% to 9.4832.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 94.78.
