Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Electrical & Electronic equipment, Insurance and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS), which rose 7.02% or 8.00 points to trade at 122.00 at the close. Colorado (CS:COL) added 4.24% or 2.99 points to end at 73.49 and Oulmes (CS:OULM) was up 4.00% or 50 points to 1300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX), which lost 8.00% or 10.00 points to trade at 115.00 in late trade. Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) declined 6.54% or 300 points to end at 4290 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) shed 6.06% or 1.72 points to 26.67.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 25 to 24 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.08% or 0.72 to $67.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.10% or 0.79 to hit $72.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.60 to trade at $1218.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.43% to 10.8840, while USD/MAD rose 0.68% to 9.5456.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.86% at 96.28.
