Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Distributors, Software & Computer Services and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 6.89% or 1.84 points to trade at 28.54 at the close. Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) added 4.17% or 0.98 points to end at 24.50 and Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) was up 2.50% or 95 points to 3900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saham Assurance (CS:SAH), which lost 9.40% or 141 points to trade at 1359 in late trade. S2M (CS:S2M) declined 5.26% or 15.00 points to end at 270.00 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) shed 4.28% or 6.55 points to 146.45.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 8 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.13% or 0.09 to $68.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.30% or 0.23 to hit $76.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.10 to trade at $1216.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.18% to 10.9930, while USD/MAD fell 0.48% to 9.3963.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 94.62.
