Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Distributors and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which rose 5.97% or 8.35 points to trade at 148.10 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) added 4.85% or 8.00 points to end at 172.95 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was up 2.00% or 0.98 points to 49.98 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which lost 4.71% or 0.99 points to trade at 20.01 in late trade. Lydec (CS:LYD) declined 3.17% or 19.00 points to end at 581.00 and Colorado (CS:COL) shed 2.94% or 2.35 points to 77.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 14 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.47% or 0.27 to $57.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.30% or 0.19 to hit $63.60 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1264.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.18% to 11.1600, while USD/MAD fell 0.27% to 9.4381.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 93.20.
