Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Chemicals and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI), which rose 5.98% or 305 points to trade at 5404 at the close. Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) added 3.58% or 4.65 points to end at 134.65 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) was up 3.35% or 2.68 points to 82.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Med Paper (CS:PAP), which lost 3.85% or 1.00 points to trade at 25.00 in late trade. Snep (CS:SNP) declined 3.34% or 22.90 points to end at 662.10 and Oulmes (CS:OULM) shed 2.78% or 50 points to 1750.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.16% or 0.81 to $70.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.59% or 1.19 to hit $76.06 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1314.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.12% to 11.1760, while USD/MAD rose 0.15% to 9.3670.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 92.55.
