Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Mining and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 7.85% or 2.51 points to trade at 34.50 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) added 4.32% or 60 points to end at 1450 and Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) was up 2.27% or 2.75 points to 123.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which lost 5.97% or 6.60 points to trade at 104.00 in late trade. Oulmes (CS:OULM) declined 5.78% or 89 points to end at 1452 and CDM (CS:CDM) shed 5.37% or 31 points to 550.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 16 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.48% or 0.32 to $66.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.14% or 0.11 to hit $76.35 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.80 to trade at $1300.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.04% to 11.1250, while USD/MAD rose 0.09% to 9.4521.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 93.63.
