Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate, Utilities and Pharmaceutical Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which rose 5.94% or 91 points to trade at 1622 at the close. Timar (CS:TIM) added 5.79% or 20.10 points to end at 367.00 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) was up 4.34% or 2.37 points to 56.89 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTM (CS:CTM), which lost 4.61% or 25.10 points to trade at 519.00 in late trade. Auto Hall (CS:AUTO) declined 1.61% or 1.70 points to end at 103.30 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) shed 1.18% or 0.67 points to 55.99.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.91% or 0.44 to $47.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.08% or 0.53 to hit $48.40 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.65% or 21.00 to trade at $1253.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.03% to 10.9040, while USD/MAD rose 0.25% to 9.7320.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 95.29.
