Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Food Producers & Processors and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 1.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sothema (CS:SOT), which rose 4.67% or 78 points to trade at 1750 at the close. Cosumar (CS:CSMR) added 4.07% or 11 points to end at 290 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) was up 3.90% or 3.90 points to 103.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included M2M Group (CS:M2M), which lost 7.03% or 34.80 points to trade at 460.00 in late trade. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) declined 5.03% or 9.00 points to end at 170.00 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) shed 3.18% or 31 points to 945.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.73% or 1.12 to $65.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.14% or 1.61 to hit $76.97 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1302.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.12% to 11.1350, while USD/MAD fell 0.13% to 9.4351.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 93.38.
