Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials, Telecoms and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 1.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 8.41% or 5.35 points to trade at 69.00 at the close. LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM) added 3.99% or 65 points to end at 1696 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was up 3.48% or 14 points to 401 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which lost 9.43% or 2.50 points to trade at 24.00 in late trade. S2M (CS:S2M) declined 9.40% or 28.00 points to end at 270.00 and Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) shed 5.98% or 60 points to 940.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 13 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.42% or 1.22 to $51.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.88% or 1.11 to hit $60.10 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.15 to trade at $1288.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.45% to 10.8715, while USD/MAD rose 0.25% to 9.5415.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 95.732.
