Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Distributors, Real Estate and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS:BMCI), which rose 9.97% or 67 points to trade at 739 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 9.79% or 2.35 points to end at 26.35 and Saham Assurance (CS:SAH) was up 9.77% or 129 points to 1449 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Oulmes (CS:OULM), which lost 5.85% or 76 points to trade at 1224 in late trade. Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) declined 5.02% or 7.45 points to end at 141.05 and Taqa Morocco SA (CS:TQM) shed 3.51% or 29.50 points to 810.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 14 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.21% or 0.14 to $67.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.43% or 0.33 to hit $77.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1201.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.15% to 10.9410, while USD/MAD fell 0.26% to 9.4302.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 95.07.
