Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Holding Companies, Distributors and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI), which rose 5.85% or 275 points to trade at 4975 at the close. Auto Hall (CS:AUTO) added 2.92% or 2.80 points to end at 98.80 and Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) was up 2.41% or 40 points to 1700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which lost 9.99% or 11.08 points to trade at 99.82 in late trade. Atlanta (CS:ATL) declined 3.40% or 2.75 points to end at 78.15 and Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND) shed 3.19% or 8.90 points to 270.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 26 to 18 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.65% or 1.02 to $62.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.18% or 0.77 to hit $66.19 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1331.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.11% to 11.3420, while USD/MAD fell 0.17% to 9.2020.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 89.75.
