Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Terna (MI:TRN), which rose 0.69% or 0.035 points to trade at 5.120 at the close. Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) added 0.68% or 0.15 points to end at 22.35 and Atlantia (MI:ATL) was up 0.07% or 0.02 points to 27.32 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which lost 3.29% or 0.144 points to trade at 4.228 in late trade. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) declined 2.76% or 0.078 points to end at 2.752 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) shed 2.41% or 0.30 points to 12.13.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 220 to 146 and 11 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.80% or 1.06 to $57.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.19% or 0.12 to hit $63.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 8.25 to trade at $1295.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1913, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8934.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 92.73.
