Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Chemicals and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 3.46% or 0.502 points to trade at 14.992 at the close. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) added 1.79% or 0.70 points to end at 39.71 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was up 1.73% or 0.26 points to 15.28 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI), which lost 1.36% or 0.1800 points to trade at 13.0160 in late trade. Recordati (MI:RECI) declined 0.94% or 0.29 points to end at 30.43 and A2A (MI:A2) shed 0.94% or 0.015 points to 1.530.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 177 to 174 and 31 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $68.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.16% or 0.12 to hit $76.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1217.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.55% to 1.1687, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.9062.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 94.63.
