Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Travel & Leisure sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which rose 2.06% or 0.1020 points to trade at 5.0620 at the close. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) added 2.04% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.5000 and A2A (MI:A2) was up 1.68% or 0.024 points to 1.448 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI), which lost 3.76% or 0.37 points to trade at 9.46 in late trade. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) declined 1.94% or 0.60 points to end at 30.32 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) shed 1.57% or 0.28 points to 17.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 195 to 154 and 32 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.18% or 0.13 to $71.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.02% or 0.02 to hit $80.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 7.90 to trade at $1229.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1589, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.8802.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 94.69.
