Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Biomed and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.80% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 1.14% or 28 points to trade at 2477 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 0.96% or 1200 points to end at 126500 and Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) was up 0.64% or 0.5 points to 78.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which fell 3.54% or 206 points to trade at 5616 at the close. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) declined 2.52% or 19.0 points to end at 733.5 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was down 2.28% or 178 points to 7646.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 262 to 75 and 109 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.12% or 0.05 to $41.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.73% or 0.34 to hit $46.81 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.87% or 21.10 to trade at $1149.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.07% to 3.8730, while EUR/ILS rose 0.75% to 4.3361.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.42% at 96.01.
