Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Communication, Banking and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which rose 1.82% or 2000 points to trade at 112100 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 1.34% or 190 points to end at 14330 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was up 1.27% or 20 points to 1591 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which fell 2.68% or 420 points to trade at 15250 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 2.27% or 3000 points to end at 129200 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was down 2.01% or 280 points to 13660.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 183 to 142 and 128 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.06% or 1.62 to $51.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.32% or 1.32 to hit $55.84 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.19% or 13.90 to trade at $1152.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.65% to 3.7935, while EUR/ILS fell 0.27% to 4.1557.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.81% at 97.21.
