Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 1.87%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which rose 7.06% or 16.1 points to trade at 244.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 6.60% or 78 points to end at 1260 and Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) was up 4.75% or 3.2 points to 70.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which fell 0.52% or 370 points to trade at 70400 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) declined 0.27% or 40 points to end at 14690 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was down 0.17% or 12 points to 7204.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 229 to 111 and 110 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.24% or 1.47 to $43.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.79% or 0.89 to hit $48.67 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.58% or 6.60 to trade at $1133.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.11% to 3.9318, while EUR/ILS fell 0.65% to 4.4145.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.56% at 95.93.
