Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 0.95% or 50 points to trade at 5320 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 0.94% or 180 points to end at 19420 and Mazor Robotics (TA:MZOR) was up 0.93% or 100 points to 10880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Poalim (TA:POLI), which lost 5.62% or 149 points to trade at 2501 in late trade. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) declined 4.16% or 19.4 points to end at 446.8 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) shed 3.89% or 4500 points to 111300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 347 to 47 and 14 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 4.30% or 2.46 to $54.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 4.04% or 2.70 to hit $64.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1224.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.76% to 3.7300, while EUR/ILS rose 0.38% to 4.2556.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 96.38.
