Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Communication and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 5.92% or 74 points to trade at 1323 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 0.99% or 85 points to end at 8681 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was up 0.97% or 4.3 points to 447.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which lost 4.18% or 234 points to trade at 5370 in late trade. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 2.58% or 430 points to end at 16210 and Liveperson (TA:LPSN) shed 2.52% or 196 points to 7589.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 243 to 144 and 37 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.21% or 0.73 to $60.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.25% or 0.88 to hit $71.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.10 to trade at $1204.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.64% to 3.6962, while EUR/ILS fell 0.15% to 4.1574.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 97.29.
