Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 4.51% or 4000 points to trade at 92700 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 4.26% or 79 points to end at 1932 and Partner (TA:PTNR) was up 3.70% or 50 points to 1402 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which lost 7.98% or 706 points to trade at 8140 in late trade. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 3.02% or 890 points to end at 28540 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) shed 2.18% or 165 points to 7410.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 229 to 134 and 46 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.95% or 0.64 to $68.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.44% or 0.32 to hit $72.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.60 to trade at $1223.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.44% to 3.6918, while EUR/ILS fell 0.02% to 4.2848.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 94.82.
