Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Oil & Gas and Biomed sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF), which rose 2.09% or 167 points to trade at 8150 at the close. Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) added 1.81% or 400 points to end at 22450 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was up 1.78% or 175 points to 9999 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which lost 2.71% or 620 points to trade at 22250 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 2.69% or 81 points to end at 2929 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) shed 2.46% or 47 points to 1865.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 253 to 126 and 33 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.34% or 0.18 to $52.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.77% or 0.48 to hit $61.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1344.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.15% to 3.6085, while EUR/ILS rose 0.33% to 4.0530.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 96.933.
