Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which rose 3.45% or 19.1 points to trade at 573.5 at the close. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) added 1.86% or 590 points to end at 32390 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) was up 1.82% or 580 points to 32490 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which lost 3.59% or 261 points to trade at 7000 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 3.40% or 53 points to end at 1507 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) shed 2.52% or 790 points to 30610.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 238 to 159 and 34 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.47% or 0.30 to $63.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.61% or 0.42 to hit $68.96 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 9.90 to trade at $1329.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.72% to 3.4169, while EUR/ILS fell 0.32% to 4.1806.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 90.37.
