Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT), which rose 8.06% or 3610 points to trade at 48400 at the close. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) added 2.27% or 168 points to end at 7578 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) was up 1.72% or 530 points to 31430 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 3.56% or 2550 points to trade at 69000 in late trade. Partner (TA:PTNR) declined 3.18% or 72 points to end at 2190 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) shed 3.08% or 48 points to 1512.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 229 to 160 and 30 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.31% or 0.20 to $64.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.16% or 0.11 to hit $69.98 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 6.00 to trade at $1340.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.24% to 3.4000, while EUR/ILS rose 0.73% to 4.1719.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 90.19.
