Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.96% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which rose 3.76% or 1880 points to trade at 51890 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) added 3.26% or 270 points to end at 8540 and Harel (TA:HARL) was up 1.63% or 43 points to 2684 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Melisron (TA:MLSR), which lost 1.94% or 280 points to trade at 14170 in late trade. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) declined 0.90% or 170 points to end at 18680 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TA:BIG) shed 0.34% or 80 points to 23600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 245 to 136 and 29 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.38% or 0.94 to $68.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.92% or 0.67 to hit $73.73 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.20 to trade at $1227.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.6498, while EUR/ILS rose 0.15% to 4.2718.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 94.26.
