Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT), which rose 2.59% or 68 points to trade at 2698 at the close. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) added 2.22% or 840 points to end at 38650 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) was up 2.02% or 890 points to 44970 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 1.44% or 20 points to trade at 1367 in late trade. Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) declined 0.60% or 11 points to end at 1815 and Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TA:FATTAL) shed 0.52% or 200 points to 38600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 250 to 127 and 33 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.87% or 1.45 to $51.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.19% or 1.29 to hit $60.28 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1291.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.14% to 3.6674, while EUR/ILS fell 0.15% to 4.1956.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 95.433.
