Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Biomed and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 4.77% or 254 points to trade at 5574 at the close. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) added 2.37% or 960 points to end at 41410 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 2.24% or 29 points to 1323 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which lost 2.70% or 630 points to trade at 22690 in late trade. Liveperson (TA:LPSN) declined 1.99% or 138 points to end at 6812 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) shed 1.80% or 2000 points to 109300.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 197 to 171 and 38 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.31% or 0.70 to $54.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.35% or 0.22 to hit $62.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.40 to trade at $1227.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.10% to 3.7290, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 4.2493.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 96.590.
