Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.53% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Harel (TA:HARL), which rose 3.17% or 87 points to trade at 2830 at the close. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) added 2.95% or 1210 points to end at 42200 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 2.36% or 450 points to 19500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which lost 10.00% or 840 points to trade at 7560 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 6.61% or 136 points to end at 1922 and Shufersal (TA:SAE) shed 1.53% or 34 points to 2182.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 203 to 175 and 35 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.61% or 0.42 to $69.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.46% or 0.34 to hit $74.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 5.70 to trade at $1226.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.39% to 3.6473, while EUR/ILS fell 0.14% to 4.2538.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 94.40.
