Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 3.41% or 710 points to trade at 21560 at the close. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) added 2.98% or 1000 points to end at 34600 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) was up 2.95% or 282 points to 9852 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which lost 5.49% or 377 points to trade at 6484 in late trade. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) declined 0.98% or 510 points to end at 51750 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 0.70% or 8 points to 1128.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 218 to 167 and 30 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.97% or 1.35 to $69.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.82% or 1.34 to hit $74.96 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.90 to trade at $1315.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.14% to 3.6132, while EUR/ILS fell 0.35% to 4.3226.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 92.42.
