Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 3.54% or 40 points to trade at 1171 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) added 2.47% or 250 points to end at 10390 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) was up 2.37% or 4.0 points to 172.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which lost 2.86% or 225 points to trade at 7655 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 2.78% or 179 points to end at 6270 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) shed 2.09% or 142 points to 6650.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 200 to 174 and 25 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.62% or 0.38 to $61.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.51% or 0.33 to hit $65.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 8.60 to trade at $1317.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.27% to 3.4451, while EUR/ILS fell 0.09% to 4.2450.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 90.01.
