Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TA:DSCT), which rose 2.04% or 22.0 points to trade at 1100.0 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.75% or 33 points to end at 1915 and Shufersal (TA:SAE) was up 1.71% or 37 points to 2206 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which lost 4.30% or 840 points to trade at 18690 in late trade. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) declined 2.89% or 11.7 points to end at 393.5 and Partner (TA:PTNR) shed 2.21% or 30 points to 1325.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 224 to 168 and 25 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.04% or 0.03 to $73.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.50% or 1.16 to hit $78.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 7.30 to trade at $1263.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.15% to 3.6300, while EUR/ILS rose 0.29% to 4.2690.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 93.72.
