Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.01% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 2.01% or 1880 points to trade at 95470 at the close. Harel (TA:HARL) added 1.95% or 53 points to end at 2766 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was up 1.65% or 250 points to 15380 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL), which lost 2.08% or 44 points to trade at 2070 in late trade. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 2.02% or 590 points to end at 28680 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) shed 1.30% or 5.0 points to 380.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 191 to 189 and 36 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.61% or 0.42 to $68.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $73.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 7.60 to trade at $1215.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.7076, while EUR/ILS rose 0.05% to 4.2839.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 95.19.
