Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Agriculture, Consumer Industry and Trade sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite declined 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Eka Sari Lorena Transport Tbk (JK:LRNA), which rose 20.95% or 31.00 points to trade at 179.00 at the close. Multifiling Mitra Indonesia (JK:MFMI) added 16.51% or 36 points to end at 254 and Hexindo Adiperkasa Tbk (JK:HEXA) was up 13.10% or 330 points to 2850 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indo Kordsa Tbk (JK:BRAM), which lost 10.00% or 1200 points to trade at 10800 in late trade. Visi Media Asia Tbk (JK:VIVA) declined 10.00% or 24 points to end at 216 and Pelayaran Nelly Dwi Putri Tbk (JK:NELY) shed 9.88% or 8 points to 73.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 157 to 120 and 96 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.22% or 0.11 to $50.90 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.44% or 0.23 to hit $52.64 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.45 to trade at $1257.35 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.38% to 13025.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.79% to 9912.80.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 97.80.
