Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Agriculture and Trade sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Gunawan Dianjaya Steel Tbk (JK:GDST), which rose 34.74% or 33 points to trade at 128 at the close. Jaya Pari Steel Tbk (JK:JPRS) added 34.35% or 45 points to end at 176 and Saranacentral Bajatama Tbk (JK:BAJA) was up 24.83% or 72 points to 362 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Asuransi Harta Aman Pratama (JK:AHAP), which lost 10.00% or 21 points to trade at 189 in late trade. Duta Anggada Realty Tbk (JK:DART) declined 10.00% or 50 points to end at 450 and Mulia Industrindo Tbk (JK:MLIA) shed 9.84% or 60 points to 550.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 170 to 127 and 104 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.52% or 0.25 to $48.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.45% or 0.22 to hit $49.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1211.95 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.78% to 13537.0, while AUD/IDR rose 1.51% to 10000.90.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 101.21.
