Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 0.72% or 10.0 points to trade at 1390.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) added 0.38% or 5.0 points to end at 1320.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was up 0.36% or 120.0 points to 33120.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which lost 1.14% or 380.0 points to trade at 32820.0 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) declined 1.04% or 280.0 points to end at 26720.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 1.03% or 30.0 points to 2895.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 6 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 2.04% or 2.75 to $131.82 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.18% or 3.50 to hit $1976.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.20% or 15.60 to trade at $1313.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.73% to 2926.27, while BRL/COP fell 0.26% to 927.21.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 92.47.
