Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Retail, Healthcare and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which rose 4.64% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.327 at the close. Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr) added 1.69% or 0.25 points to end at 15.00 and AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) was up 0.87% or 0.020 points to 2.320 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Folli Follie (AT:HDFr), which lost 29.99% or 4.60 points to trade at 10.74 in late trade. Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) declined 16.30% or 0.097 points to end at 0.498 and Intralot (AT:INLr) shed 8.70% or 0.100 points to 1.050.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 80 to 26 and 17 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.10% or 1.30 to $1311.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.75% or 0.51 to hit $68.94 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.83% or 0.61 to trade at $74.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.48% to 1.1932, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8822.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 92.59.
