Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Household, Food and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 1.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 8.15% or 0.029 points to trade at 0.385 at the close. Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) added 2.99% or 0.026 points to end at 0.896 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was up 2.48% or 0.60 points to 24.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AS Company SA (AT:ASCr), which lost 5.76% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.800 in late trade. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 5.00% or 0.012 points to end at 0.228 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) shed 4.96% or 0.130 points to 2.490.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 88 to 32 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.48% or 6.40 to $1330.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.70% or 0.45 to hit $63.70 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.04% or 0.70 to trade at $66.92 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.2348, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8875.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 89.69.
