Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Household and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 6.52% or 0.3000 points to trade at 4.9000 at the close. Public Power (AT:DEHr) added 4.76% or 0.09 points to end at 1.98 and Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) was up 3.85% or 0.023 points to 0.620 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr), which lost 6.80% or 0.115 points to trade at 1.575 in late trade. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 6.67% or 0.045 points to end at 0.630 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) shed 6.25% or 0.150 points to 2.250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 65 to 38 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.53% or 6.76 to $1274.84 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.33% or 0.19 to hit $57.16 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.67% or 0.43 to trade at $63.84 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1572, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 94.97.
