Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Travel, Utilities and Household sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 2.84% or 0.1600 points to trade at 5.8000 at the close. MLS Multimedia (AT:MLSr) added 2.35% or 0.100 points to end at 4.350 and Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr) was up 1.89% or 0.04 points to 2.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr), which lost 4.05% or 0.30 points to trade at 7.10 in late trade. Athens Water (AT:EYDr) declined 3.25% or 0.18 points to end at 5.36 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) shed 2.57% or 0.044 points to 1.666.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 59 to 42 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.68% or 20.00 to $1214.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.75% or 1.19 to hit $69.02 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.78% or 1.33 to trade at $76.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.75% to 1.1627, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.9042.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 95.03.
