Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intralot (AT:INLr), which rose 6.29% or 0.044 points to trade at 0.744 at the close. Elastron SA (AT:ELSRr) added 2.96% or 0.0400 points to end at 1.3900 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was up 2.58% or 0.050 points to 1.990 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which lost 4.81% or 0.0048 points to trade at 0.0950 in late trade. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 3.32% or 0.0290 points to end at 0.8435 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) shed 2.29% or 0.13 points to 5.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 54 to 48 and 16 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.42% or 5.20 to $1222.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.01% or 0.68 to hit $68.34 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.44% or 0.32 to trade at $72.71 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.39% to 1.1614, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.8914.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 94.81.
