Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Banking and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 7.14% or 0.1300 points to trade at 1.9500 at the close. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) added 4.69% or 0.032 points to end at 0.715 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 4.44% or 0.060 points to 1.410 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which lost 5.26% or 0.003 points to trade at 0.054 in late trade. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 3.92% or 0.029 points to end at 0.711 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 3.85% or 0.0070 points to 0.1750.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 60 to 42 and 12 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.00% or 0.05 to $1277.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $54.33 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $60.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1658, while EUR/GBP rose 1.70% to 0.8921.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.60.
