Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Travel sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which rose 3.31% or 0.80 points to trade at 25.00 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) added 1.99% or 0.008 points to end at 0.410 and Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) was up 1.84% or 0.5200 points to 28.8000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which lost 9.13% or 0.0210 points to trade at 0.2090 in late trade. Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) declined 5.42% or 0.002 points to end at 0.031 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) shed 5.06% or 0.0400 points to 0.7500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 74 to 49 and 10 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.66% or 8.70 to $1316.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.46% or 0.28 to hit $61.24 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.22 to trade at $65.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.2323, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8835.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 90.00.
