Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Banking and Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR), which rose 5.78% or 0.330 points to trade at 6.200 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) added 5.02% or 0.011 points to end at 0.230 and Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) was up 3.01% or 0.8400 points to 28.7500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which lost 6.67% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.056 in late trade. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) declined 3.72% or 0.011 points to end at 0.285 and Hygeia (AT:HYGr) shed 3.53% or 0.012 points to 0.328.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 54 to 48 and 10 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.94 to $1276.96 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $50.42 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.21% or 0.12 to trade at $55.88 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1757, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8858.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.31.
