Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 1.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which rose 8.57% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.530 at the close. Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA) added 7.27% or 0.120 points to end at 1.770 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was up 6.90% or 0.070 points to 1.085 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 5.56% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.238 in late trade. Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) declined 3.10% or 0.110 points to end at 3.440 and AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) shed 2.68% or 0.060 points to 2.180.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 81 to 29 and 17 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.36% or 4.80 to $1319.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.71% or 1.06 to hit $60.98 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.42% or 0.93 to trade at $64.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.2323, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8867.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 89.98.
