Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Household and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.69% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 16.10% or 0.024 points to trade at 0.170 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 4.48% or 0.0090 points to end at 0.2100 and Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) was up 4.40% or 0.70 points to 16.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 7.94% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.580 in late trade. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) declined 3.52% or 0.050 points to end at 1.370 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) shed 1.91% or 0.070 points to 3.600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 32 and 12 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.20% or 2.70 to $1319.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.18% or 0.11 to hit $61.55 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $67.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.1976, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8823.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 92.02.
